focus alignment with longer lens

I just recently added my first 90mm to my M6 arsenal and I am finding my focus patch won't match up perfectly at infinity...meaning, if I were focusing on a flag pole in the distance, I will see the two poles converging oh so close before it just stops, meaning they will not converge. The lens will reach infinity but the focus patch won't. I haven't developed film yet to see if the images are soft but I don't have any obvious issues with my 50 or 35.

I've read about rangefinders having to be adjusted for longer lenses but I am not sure about this.

Is this something I can adjust with the horizontal adjustment screw as seen in this link?

Is this beyond a non technical person?

I should probably see my film first, huh?

I would take some photos is the most critical way you can (fine grain film, tripod, etc) at subjects that would show unsharpness (resolution targets, newspapers etc) at several distances and if the pics are sharp enough I would leave the camera alone. Although the M system is precise, there are tolerances and if you have to alter the camera to improve focus with one lens you might make it worse with others.

If it really bothers you, you can bundle your whole collection to a technician who can theoretically make them all optimum.
