"Summi", "Cron", "Lux". They are up there with "Glass".
I don't mind (and use), "Workflow".
Non-Photo related... Tech words often make it into general use in a slightly annoying way. Like "Band width". Is that one word or two?
Cheers,
Gary

Yeah, I wouldn't disagree with that. On the other hand, that's 90% of what language is and how it develops.

Last week I was walking home with one of my cameras on a neck strap and some guy (classical abercrombie-wearing guy) comes up and says "Nice camera. How many megapixels does it have?" To which i reply "None". He just gave me a blank stare so i said "It's a film camera" And he said "Oh, i get it, so you give it the megapixels when you print the pictures?"
And I've also had lots of people trying to see some image magically appear on the back of my cameras.
Oh, and also, some old guy tried to sell some cheap p&s camera that "shoots both film and digital" to me..... "it has 2 gigabytes"...

In a non-photography related world, it's the misuse of the word...
Decadent or Decadence

I hate all the neo-housewife internet cute-isms. "DH" for "dear husband" and all that trash. More generally, any idiot who feels the need to speak as if their audience is either emotionally stuck at three years old, or made up entirely of stunted characters from a silly PBS Victorian period piece.

"Price point". Not a word, I know, but its abuse is quite en vogue here at RFF.

Can I get a roll of analog? I want to use my minty prime lenses with the beautiful bokeh.

Rising intonation which turns every statement into a question. If you are not sure ask a question.

"G'day" or "No worries", when spoken/written by a non-Aussie.
"Cheers", when spoken/written by a non-Brit.
"Eh?", when spoken/written by a non-Canuk.
"Have a nice day", when spoken/written by anyone.

Eh?
(Traditional British usage. Means 'What on earth are you talking about' or 'I can't/didn't hear you'. How does the Canuk usage vary? Pronunciation? It sounds just like 'A?' in English.)
Cheers,
R.

"Loose" when used as a variant of the word "lost".
As in "Where did I loose my dictionary?"
If you've lost something, people, you did not "loose" it!
