Hc-100 dilution H - Storage

Hi there,

How do you store your HC-110 if you use dillution H (1:64) ? DO you use a seringue to take whatever you need ? Do you keep the HC-110 in the original bottle or do you do like this fellow: http://www.covingtoninnovations.com/hc110/ .. Where can I find the small bottle ?

Thanks !

I would take it from the original bottle...less stuff to worry about. I wouldn't store dilution H HC-110, discard the mix after it is used.

Hi Fredus,

I keep HC110 in it's original bottle and use a syringe to make dilution H only when I use it. The concentrate seems to keep quite well for at least a year with no problems. I read somewhere that before closing the bottle, hold you breath for as long as you can and then gentle blow into the top of the bottle before capping it. This leaves less oxygen rich air at the top. Not sure if it really makes that much difference but it seems to work for me. I never bother with using smaller bottles.

My HC-110 undiluted is less than 1/2 full now for about a year and works fine. I like Rodinal & HC-110 because they keep so well.

HI, HC110 dillution H or anything slse is a one shot developer, the stuff is so inexpensive anyway. I use that dillution (H) myself as a compensating developer with FP-4+ for low contrast shots ( foggy days etc.) your milage may vary. Regards Dave

I mix dilution B whether or not I'm using B or H. I just cut B in half at the time of use for H. The more concentrated it is, the longer it lasts, and I dont have to worry about mixing up B because I only have H on hand mixed up.
