help broken m6 backdoor

hi all, i just got a used m6 but although the camera seems to perform fine, there is a 'little' problem, one of the latches of the film backdoor is broken, not the spring side but the one that seems to be part of the door,

i have attached some images..

what do you think? will this be a problem in the long run? can this be repaired? is it possible to get a replacement backdoor? from where? or are there any tips on how to live with the problem..

thanks so much

Sent to a good Leica tech and get it fixed. Of course it can be repaired. If not fixed it will just get worse and ruin a good camera.

You can email Dave Elwell at Leica NJ (dave.elwell@leicacamerausa.com). They have all sorts of parts in stock, and if they don't, they can be ordered from Germany. However, it will probably be expensive. You could also contact the various techs around the country to see if they have any used ones for sale.
