Contax - Leica M adapter question

I picked up an adapter so that I can (hopefully) shoot my Zeiss 5cm f/1.5 lenses on my Leica M's.

This is what the adapter looks like -

I sent a note to Amedeo to ask if it was his adapter and he said no -- so I'm wondering if anyone knows anything about this adapter. I'm going to buy an adapter from Amedeo anyway -- so I'll probably end up selling this one -- but I may end up keeping it.

Thanks for your help.

Bob

Looks good. All lenses will be coded as 50/2 Summicrons. Made from a butchered Kiev of course as these adapters always are. How much did you pay?

rxmd -- I'm not going to use it on a M8 -- I hate digital anything -- M3 or MP -- 250...

The adapter will be here next week -- I'll mount a Contax 5cm f/1.5 on it -- and do some close focusing to see what happens. I'm trying to trim my camera herd down a bit -- so it would be great to sell my Contax IIa -- even though I love it -- I just don't use it that much...

It looks like a Hong Kong adapter, I have two of them. One works best with Nikon S-Mount, the other one was customized for Contax mount.

At worst, you shim the lens to match any residual error in the mount. I custom shimmed a Zeiss Opton 50/1.5 to be optimized for an Amedeo LTM adapter wide-open and close-up.

Brian -- thanks -- I knew you'd chime in :-) It's for Contax mount lenses -- so I'm hoping it'll work just fine with the Zeiss 5cm f/1.5's I have -- I have pre-war and post war -- and then a more modern version...
