Mamiya 7 Panoramic Adapter

I have just purchased a second hand 135 kit for my Mamiya 7II. Having never used one before could someone please tell me if the action is quite stiff on the rewind? Or should it be quite loose?

If it is quite stiff what could possibly be the problem?

Regards

Did you put the pressure plate in the 220/135 position?

Just been reading the Photo.net forum and a guy on there says the following about the adapter:-

"I use the adaptor regularly. The adaptor forces me to "see" panoramic subjects, that without it I would have passed. In practice the thinks that bother me are: 1. Somehow stiffer wind (even worst than 220, especially near the end of film) 2. Weird position of camera on a table or bag with the rewind knob at the bottom 3. Difficult extraction of the adaptors take up spool."

*Think that answers my question!*
