Got my Canonet QL17 GIII!!!

I just picked up the Canonet QL17 GIII from UPS and it's beautiful! It's my first rangefinder (beside the bessa L which is not really a rangefinder) and I don't regret selling my SLRs at all. the aperture ring is a bit stiff but I can live with it. The first time I picked it up i was suprised on how heavy it feels on my hand, but that's just the way I like it. It's just awesome!

You will like it, I assure you. Please be sure to post some of your first shots.

If you're into this, be sure to take some shots at night. This is a very good low-light camera. I was VERY impressed when I got mine.

I hear you. I have bought 2 Olympus rangefinders in the last week. My return to rangefinders after a 12 year absence.

I'll get my shop to scan the film on a CD and post it here next week.
I don't think I can sleep tonight

Congrats, Alan. Do share your photos and enjoy your "new" camera. Canonets are just delightful to shoot, I think. I know I love mine and will shortly get it a nice CLA at Essex.

Congratulations, now go out and shoot some stuff, preferably with either Ilford Black and White or Fuji colour film.
