Four new titles from Errata Books

This was recently posted at 5B4: http://5b4.blogspot.com/2009/08/erra...ks-5-8_17.html

New edition of William Klein's Life is Good & Good for You in New York, which is pretty exciting, I think. More about the books here: http://www.errataeditions.com/

Does anyone own one of the first four books? I keep meaning to buy the Chris Killip one.

I've looked through the Evans and the Atget books a couple of times at the SF MoMA bookstore. I'm not quite sold on the 'books on books' idea. I'm a big Evans fan, but I just can't seem to pull the trigger for a book of photographs of a book of photographs.

I have the Atget book. It's really nice. These guys are doing great work. They are the Criterion Collection of photography. A DVD will never be cinema, but it's a good medium to experience a film. A photo book will never represent the actual size and quality of photograph prints, but it's a great medium. The Errata books aren't a facsimile of the original books, but serve the purpose of offering the experience of both the book and the photographs.

I'm interested to see how the Klein book turns out, I've seen the original (and his others from that era). They are printed with very high contrast, with almost newsprint quality, grainstastic. This version will be smaller, I'm guessing the tighter look will be a good thing.
