kodak super xx high speed film

Does anyone know what speed this film was?I found some old empty cartridges,green and yellow in the uncles basement.

I could be wrong but I seem to recall shooting it at 200asa..

It was usually rated @ 200-250 asa. It was the predecessor of Tri X and it is still being made as a movie-stock called Double X. The XX is similar to the Super XX - though it has been modernized with a better base and a smoother coating.
Some of Robert Franks shots for "The Americans" were shot on Super XX - it was the preferred "fast" film in the 40's and 50's. Tri X did not show up as a 35mm film until 1954 in the US (for some reason it was available in Canada in 1953 - eh!).
