Bought a 15mm Voigtlander today :)

By chance I dropped into my favourite camera store to find a new Voigtlander display and to hear that Australia has a new importer with big discounts compared to the last importers prices..... after foaming at the mouth for awhile I left with a 15mm/4.5 Heliar on my FED3 .... I'll try it over the weekend and post some pic's next week with some luck.

Congratulations, I hope you can post some of your photos so we can see what the CV 15 can do.

Good to hear too that Cosina has solidified their distribution channels in Austrailia too. They did so in the past couple months here in the US. Let's hope this points to some new products and committed marketing and service programs to support them.

BTW, did you pay less than the price advertised on Mainline website? I recently ordered directly from Mainline because their price is $75 cheaper (make it $65; $10 delivery) than the cheapest price I could find in Melbourne.

I'm happy Mainline is now the distributor. Their prices are c.a. 40% cheaper than those of Adeal's, plus 2-year warranty instead of 1-year!

You know, one sold for less than $300 (USD) on ebay a week or so. The posting spelled Voigtlander wrong (added an H). I was very tempted. I figure the seller lost at least $50 to a spelling mistake.

Kris, I did get a bit of a discount off the RRP but I always do from my local pro shop, I've been buying from them for years. Yeah 40% cheaper is almost unbelievable and a little scary .. I can see it now, a few more nice lenses and next I'll be looking for a Leica M .. gulp! ... Oh and a 2yr warranty is very cool.

Nothing like a new lens to get you out of a rut
