more studio nudes ...

Dear all;

I took the Fuji GA645 back to a studio setting. This was a more or less open shoot, there where about 20 photographers there, and it was to say the least a zoo. If you followed the last set that I posted, I kind of got off on a bit of a tangent after I saw what I had after the film came back.

With that in mind, I had a few ideas for this set. As usual, I was limited by the lighting setups that someone else chose, but I was allowed to direct the model, and of course run the camera and the post processing. At this point, these photos came out more or less in line with what my expectations were.

Clearly, some of them were shot with a much different eye than the model had in mind. You can figure out which ones.

Now for the usual disclaimer, these are photos of NUDE WOMEN. As such, the are probably not work safe. If you do not care for this type of photography, please do not look! The user is Guest with a capital G, and the password is matrix.

"Matrix" should be "matrix" LOWER CASE. That's how I got it to work.

Photo #8 is my favorite by far, the way the light off her skin and hair creates parallel vertical lines, with only a hint of shape, that's fantastic! Minimal and very effective.

I agree that 8 is very nice. I prefer 1-10 to the others, I like the chiaroscuro
effect and appreciate the experimentation with various planes of the body. I was drawn to 3, 4, 5, in large part because the model's eyes are clearly visible and provide a heightened sense of engagement with the camera; more person, less object. All subjective, of course.

NVery nice and well-executed shots but the 'glowing eyes' in some are too obtrusive for my taste. This may of course just be the cr*p monitor on my internet computer.

Number ten. But I find it hard to see the quality in a photograph on a computer, so others could have escaped.
