Recent work from my "Cuba - people" series. This is basically the only lens I use.

Thanks Joe. That was one of the few that I felt had real potential when I clicked the shutter. I had already shot about 12 frames there inside and out and was leaving when the lady in the foreground turned 90 degrees and gave me the profile at the same time the woman in back stroked her friends belly. It was just the right confluence. All I did was recognize it and be ready.

I use this photo as a lead-in to my Cuba talk because it points out all the differences between here and there. Here, a woman going into labor has someone drive her to the hospital. But 98% of Cubans have no access to a car. Or here we would call a taxi. But there 97% do not have telephones. And no taxis have radios. So in Cuba late stage pregnant women just live in the hogar materno (maternity house) next to the hospital so they can walk over when they go into labor.

"I can do bokeh, too!" boldly proclaimed the little Biogon. And promptly delivered proof to its claim.

Nice picture, sharpness looks good to me, but it is hard to tell at such a small size.

Agreed. Although it must have been pretty bright to be able to be shoot at a shutter speed fast enough to (almost) freeze the birds and manage an aperture closed enough to have the DoF to keep both the birds and the girl/couple in focus. Very little grain means probably 100 or 400 film...

Impressive

Thank you very much Tony and Spicy!

The photo was taken with Argenti Pan-X (it seems is like Agfa 100 APX) and I developed it with Fomadon R09 at 1+100 and 1 hour in stand develpment.

Shot at F4 and 1/2000 or F5,6 and 1/1000 (but I think it was at F4).

Thank you again for your words!

It was scanned by a Plustek 7600.
