Post Let's have a Celebration of Half Frame Cameras!

April 6 until June 30th is the 50th anniversary of the Olympus-Pen half frame camera's. Thanks Digitalintrigue for making us aware. At 1st I suggested a week long shoot but then thought better. Since this is a celebration & not a contest why only a week! So from now to at least June 30th & maybe beyond, we @ RFF should celebrate as well, therefore I'm proclaiming a celebration of the half frame camera. Since we aren't biased, all half frame camera's are welcome. Here are just a few Rules to go by.

Rules:
1: Saturday April 11 I will start a thread in W/NW Forum called A Celebration of Half Frame's & Submini's. (Or something like that)

2: No photos allowed taken before April 6 (it's all about using the camera...so load up!) If you already have film in your camera then thats fine.

3: Please include make of camera/lens (if it's a Pen FT or F w interch. lenses) & film.
4: Keep the discussions light, It's about the photography...right! Most of all lets have some fun.

That last roll of Ektar 100 in my Pen S will work well, I think.

I look forward to the pictures! - it's about the only format I've never used, I find it hard enough to get decent quality from 36x24! and admire your skill/persistance etc. - with the tiny neg.
Dave.

There's not really much of a difference, except the size of the camera in your hands. Besides I'm nowhere in the same league as Todd & some of the others, but it'll be fun.

Cool idea. Time to load up 72 exposures, it increases my chances of getting something presentable.

Haha!...and I just loaded up a roll of 12 exposure film to get 24 frames shot & developed by Sat. I hope I get 1 decent shot to post out of the roll to kick things off.
I need to quit being so conservative.

Is this open to all half-frames, or just Olympus? I just started using a late-1930's Kodak (Nagel) duo six-20. It is 645 - half-frame of 6x9.

We're not biased at all. Open to all half frame cameras. So load up & help us celebrate! I haven't heard of that camera, look foward to seeing some photo's with it & of it if you can.

Post photos in the W/NW forum. Get those half frames off the shelf and load them up & shoot. It's now open.

I regret selling my Pen W, but I couldn't resist the obscenely gigantic offer I got for it. Buying Pen W's way back when probably would have been a better investment than Apple or Microsoft. I got some great photos with it too.

Would it be possible to post a brief instruction (or link to such) about how to upload an image to Words N/W Forum? Maybe it's right in front of my eyes, but I can't seem to find it. Thank you.

I tried a regular post with photo attached and it seems to work, so maybe I've found the answer to my question. If this isn't the way to do it, I'll be glad to hear about it. Thanks.
