C - Prints

I do color work from slides and while I've been using an Epson 2200 and contemplating purchasing a 3800 I've noticed in alot of galleries that photographers are selling Chromogenic prints.

Knowing little about C-Prints I do have one question. Aren't the colors in a
C-Print fugitive? Don't they fade pretty rapidly in comparison to the Epson
K-3 inks? I'm wondering about this because of looking for an alternative to printing at home.

Are there better choices than C - Prints?

Any help would be most appreciated.
