Union Station - February 27, 2009

This is from a project I started late last year, Riding the Rails. You can see more of the photos here http://www.pbase.com/rickwphotography/ridingtherails

The project is being shot with a Ricoh GRDII and a Lumix L1

Interesting series. Especially how some of you subjects seem to know what you are doing and are staring at the camera/you. I also like the one with the man seeming to be standing on two train cars. Nice catch.

Thanks for the comments. Some of these were shot from the hip, but for most of them, I was looking directly in the viewfinder and composing the shot. I have been a street shooter for a long time and the reaction of the people who have seen me taking their picture has been interesting. They usually ask me what I'm doing. I smile, walk up to them, give them my card, and explain why I am shooting them. The response from most of them has been very positive.
