The Search Is Over

My personal journey started with my Nikon FM. Life was good then. The total control of the process, the anticipation of the results, the gnashing of teeth and the occasional euphoria of a picture which is personally satisfying.

When digital came, the allure of instant gratification and new technology took hold of me, and quickly went through the whole rigmarole of digital SLR upgrading.

Until I got sick of the whole digital thing. My photography wasn't giving joy anymore, as I feel I was totally detached from the experience.

That's when I saw an ad for a FED 2, cheap ($50). What the hey, might as well give it a spin. A couple of rolls later I got the feeling back, and a Zorki 3M quickly joined the stable.

Now I'm content. And all of a sudden, the Survivors song seem to be playing in the background - The Search Is Over. Almost all the lines fit my photo journey

"The search is over, love was right before my eyes."

Now to the pictures:

Here are some from the Zorki, with the Jupiter 12:

Guesstimator

Kinda resigned to the fact that rf's aren't the best answer if I want perfectly-framed shots

I use both film RF and digital SLR. Each is useful in its assigned role, both give satisfaction.

Soviet made finders for 35mm lenses are on eBay for around $50. However, if you propose to add a lens longer than 50mm, you'd do better with a turret finder.

I have a love affair with TriX. This is 400, pushed to 800. What's the name of your finder?
