My second roll of Ektar 100

***update: there's now a third series of images. scroll down for link!***

After last week's film speed test of Ektar 100, I shot a "walking around" roll. I'm pretty impressed with it. The reds don't seem as saturated as everyone says they should, but it does have a very "clean" look to it.

Let me know what you think!

These new examples are also encouraging.
More examples of "well saturated" but not "over saturated," to my eyes anyway.

If you get the exposure right, the saturation is spot on.

Distressingly many 'serious amateurs' are convinced that film manufacturers lie, and therefore overexpose mercilessly.

Ektar 100 does not reward this.

Cheers,

Roger

Thanks for the samples. These are nice. Do you have any more example of skin tones?

A Third Roll!

The lab had a minor screw-up and generously made it up to me with an extra roll of Ektar. Results are here:

I like this film a lot.

There are a couple of examples of skin tones in this new bunch. I'm really impressed with the look; clean like digital, but with awesome dynamic range.

I'm still not convinced on the reds. They are too yellow for my tastes. Think I'll go shoot some apples and see what happens.

Thanks for looking!
