Step up ring for canon 35mm f/2 LTM

Hey guys,

Have any of you used the heavystars 40mm -> 43mm step up ring on the canon 35mm f/2 (LTM)? Any idea if it causes vignetting?

I use heavystars hoods, but never his step-up rings due to galling from the aluminum metal construction. Stick to brass from Heliopan or B & W.

There are also Series VI adpater rings with 40mm screw threads that turn up now and again.
