Where to buy T-Max chemicals in the UK (or London)?

Hi there,

I have always shot on films, apart from a very brief moment on Nikon professional DSLR 2 years ago, I had decided to buy a M7 to complete my M6 TTL, and a nikon coolscan V-ED.
The only thing that I am really missing is developing my own films.
So my question is:
For a first timer, is it advised to just buy the chemicals and a book and start from scratch myself or should I attend a darkroom course ( and where could I find such a course?).
Also where do UK photographers buy their chemicals? I am only shooting Kodak T-Max ( 100 and 400), so I'd like to buy the T-Max developing range?

I would recommend Silverprint for your chemical supplies. http://www.silverprint.co.uk/

It isn't overly difficult to process your own films. I don't think you would need to attend a course. Good luck.

If you're new to developing your own films, it might be worth taking a look at this how-to PDF from Ilford: Processing Your First Black and White Film. You really shouldn't need much else tutorial-wise to get you started - darkroom courses are great when it comes to printing (which is a real artform when done right), but processing is so simple it's not really worth the trouble.

I went to Process supplies as my office is just at 5 min from there and i found everything I need. I had no idea I could find such store, in the middle of Clerckenwell.

T-max developer isn't required for T-max film.

D-76 or Xtol, both diluted 1:1 up to 1:3, work very well.
