Photographer finds lizard taped to his car

Some bizarre new ritual I'm not aware of, like toad-licking? Photographers beware - at least in Australia, apparently.

Man finds lizard taped to his car

AMATEUR photographer Colin Cook was disgusted to find a lizard stuck to his car with electrical tape when he returned from a bushwalk in Onkaparinga Gorge last week.

The Onkaparinga Hills man had been taking photos of local birds just before dark last Thursday, January 15, when he made the ``horrible find’’ at a car park near Piggott Range Rd.

``I saw it tied to the door handle and it was bound up quite severely with its legs crushed up against its body so it couldn’t move - I thought it was dead,’’ Mr Cook, 54, said.

That's a nasty thing to do, lizards are fantastic creatures.

What I wonder is, how do you find these things? You've got too much time on your hands, Bill.
As for the subject - anyone who would mistreat animals is less than human themselves. Sick is the word!

How do we know this act had anything to do with the man being a photographer?

Does this have some strange, deeply Australian meaning, of which the rest of the world is unaware? Otherwise, I don't get it.
