fast slide film

Hello all,

I know the info is buried in here somewhere but please bear with me because I've got a terrible cold and a deadline. I've been shooting Fuji Astia but I need a faster film for some available light work. I'll be feeding it thru a M3 with a 50mm Summicron. I've been scanning the film.

I'm just looking for a starting point here. All of my film has been 100 ASA up to this point so I need some help.

Many thanks.

Hi there--if you like Velvia--try Provia 400X--hard to find, but it looks like the fast alternative to Velvia to me. Colors are not quite as saturated, but much friendlier to faces...
Good Luck!

provia 400x is awesome. the major photo outlets carry it regularly. in 120 it pushes to 3200 real nice. in 35mm, 1600 looks great.
