Seems about normal price, from what I've seen.
It's the one Hexanon M lens I haven't tried, though...!

I remember someone complaining about this seller after they bought a Hex 1.2 from them ... the lens was described as virtually unused but upon arrival had definitely been well used and was probably not the lens in the eBay pics.
I think it might have been 'endustry!'

I saw one of these go for $9xx USD not long ago. Also, I'd be a bit uneasy to buy from that seller. But you never know, I guess.
PS. I know Dante Stella has and like one of these lenses. I'm waiting on a full report from him on it.

I'm pretty sure it was the transaction about halfway down the page.
http://feedback.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayI...edbackAsSeller
It fits the decription we got on RFF.

He's a ebay member since 2002. Most of his feedback history is from May 08 to now. Notice how his feedback has large gaps with nothing on record for 2004,2005 and 2007?
Probably spreading around the negatives under different accounts?

Well, Dante's page'd been saying that for a while. . But I keep hoping. Plus he plans, I guess to do a write up on a 28mm Hexanon as well. I hope he'll get to it soon.

I bought from him, and while there were a couple of peculiarities (like claiming he was in the States and then shipping from Korea), the deal went very well.
That said - I have seen that lens here for around $1300, so it isn't a fantastic deal....

as a side note - I've said this before - while I love HExanons - this is not a lens on MY list. Why? I think ZM 21/2.8 used can be found at $800 or so, plus ZM 35/2 at about $600 or so - at about the same total cost will be a better and faster performers.

I remember Dante saying somewhere his 21/35 was one of the sharpest lenses, after having been adjusted to the M8. 21/35mm sounds like a perfect walkabout focal length for the M8, but the e-bay rating of the seller does not look to encouraging to me. Also, reading that he claims to be a US seller, but shipping from Korea makes me wonder whether the "live.search cashback" would apply.

Nope. When I shot weddings with a pair of M bodies, I thought this lens would be ideal to keep on one of them, with a fast 50 on the other. It is big by RF standards, but if you're working the size doesn't matter as much as the convenience of not having to change lenses.

A lot of my pictures from Iran were made with this lens.
I paid 1300 Euro for it in the leicashop in Vienna. When i bought it they also had the ZM 21 on display. I canīt compare the optical performance but the Dual Hex is way better built.
The ZM lens felt cheap and rough while the Hex is very smooth, a real pleasure to use. They are similar in size, but the Dual Hex offers you 35mm without the hassle of changing a lens.
Althoug the ZM was half of the price and i already own the 2/35 Hex i went with the DualHex and have no regrets so far :-)
OTOH: I composed and took two pictures with 35mm while the lens was set on 21 ...but you canīt blame the lens for itīs stupid user :-)

The cashback does apply -- I bought a 35/2 UC-Hex from him a couple months ago (though when the discount was more like 8% or something ) and I did get the money back. I guess what matters is where the eBay/PayPal account is registered, not where the item ships from.
I was surprised when the package arrived from Korea, but I had no problem with the lens, which was as new in the box with all accessories and papers. Apparently, however, others buyers' mileage has tended to vary with this seller.

I really really really wish that Konica had made a 35/50 dual lens.

I have the 21/35 Konica Dual. I agree with Dante that it is a perfect companion on the M8. Sharpness and contrast are excellent. Lens is solidly built and ohhhhhh so smooth. The only drawback is that it doesn't focus very close, but still, a beautiful lens. I have mine coded as WATE with marker, but sometimes still get the cyan drift in the corners.
Not a very "arty" gallery, but a majority of the images here were taken on a weekend trip with my wife and her parents, with the Konica Dual. http://www.pbase.com/keithbg/mohonk&page=all

Thanks Keith. Any experience with film Ms? I agree that the minimum focus distance is a little disappointing (would be perfect if it is like the zm 21/4.5 biogon-c).

Yes, Mohonk is truly a beautiful place. The weekend was a gift from my in-laws. I have only visited the grounds before, with a day pass, but never stayed overnight as it is quite expensive for a weekend stay.

many leica's hexar's prices are dropping remarkly. Below is the lowest price in HK
35 F2 ASPH US$900 non 6 bit
50 F2 Latest Version (non 6 Bit) 550
21 F2.8 $1400
50 F2.8 $$500
75 1.4 2800
90 F2.5 summarit $700
All of them are 90% or above mint state. Some with boxes and papers, some are not.
I expect they will continue to drop!
