New Mamiya 7II changes???

I have been using Mamiya 7II for years. I just picked up a new body and the shell has different paint now. It used to be smooth but now it is a rough matte finish. I like it!!

I wonder if anything else is different?? Will let you know. Mine is an Hxxxxx serial which signifies 2008 manufacture.

I bought two 7II bodies within a year of each other and the body finish on each was different as well. I have also seen an earlier 3rd body finish of this camera that was different again. At least for mine, every thing else is business as usual

Actually, one difference...

The neck strap. The first one was just narrow from end to end, whereas the second (crinkly finish body) was wider around the middle with Mamiya written on it. Actually, I was glad with the first one as I attached one of those leather hand grips - but you cant permanently attach to the tripod socket on these camera so I cut up this neck strap to run through the grip and back through the lower strap lug on the other side. Works very well!
