Digital Leica M8 / M8.2 / M9 / M-E /Mono / M10 aka "M" Discussions about the Leica M8 /M 8.2 / M9 / M9-P/ M-E / M Monochrom / M10 aka "M": Leica digital M mount rangefinder cameras. Naming the new digital M the "Leica M" is VERY unfortunate as it will only confuse newbies with other Leica M cameras of the the past. Happily there is room for confusion with only the past 59 years of Leica M production ... since Leica introduced the Leica M system in 1953. All Hail for the Leica Marketing Department learning Leica M history!

And why exactly do you love M8 for this picture? Couldn't you take this shot with any other digital camera in the same price range or even half cheaper?

You can take any photo with any camera, the point is that he enjoyed the experience.

Yes Matti, perhaps I could take this picture with any other digital camera in the same price range or, as you say, even a half cheaper. Perhaps I could have made it also with a cheap kodak that you can buy in the supermarket.

I always use my Leica and in some cases the Canon 5D. And the feeling making photos with the Leica is completely different.

The question is that I like leicas more than other. And beleive me, I have used, Canon and Nikon intensively.

Have you ever experienced a leica in your hands ???? Perhaps this is the question you must reply!

Regards,

Arturo
