LTM -> M adapter question

If you've got a rangefinder that doesn't have auto-selecting framelines (like, say...my stylish new R2 ) does it matter which adapter I use? Will I get correct focusing if I screw a 50/2 into the adapter I already use for my 15/4.5 (which is meant for 90mm)?

Thanks!

I think you would get correct focussing. The only time I have heard of focussing trouble was on a recent thread here regarding the thickness of the adaptors. A quick search here should find you that topic.

The adaptors differ in a notch that pushes the frame selector on Leicas and Konica HexarRFs. There is no other difference. The rangefinder uses a roller that presses against a barrel on the back of the lens instead. Even parallax compensation is done through the rangefinder roller.

Joe, I like your avatar. I'm born and raised in LA but my dads home is a short distance from the 'holiday street, first see the gun' scene in that movie (a circle near Shaker Heights, OH) and I spent many Christmases (err...Christmasi? ) walking that same circle while visiting family.

You'll shoot your eye out kid.

very cool, Brian.. I suppose the area isn't much like it was in the movie, but that would make a great location for street scenes!
