Blue and Yellow: FSU coatings

Hi all,

I have been having huge success with my Jupter-8, much more than with my Industar 61, which is said to be a better lens. My two antique Leica lenses are barely used anymore, even though they focus better on my Bessa R.

I am attributing my success to the yellow coating, and I am wondering if there is any knowledge here on the forum about what this FSU coating is from the chemical and optical perspective.

I have a Jupiter-8 with the blue coating on a Kiev, but the Kiev needs a little work, or a new back plate. I will test it as soon as my hands get steady enough to take it apart.

Just as a disclaimer, I am slightly colorblind, so if the blue on the silver Jupter-8s is really purple, don't be shy about telling me -- I need information like that!

Thanks in advance
