Digital Leica M8 / M8.2 / M9 / M-E /Mono / M10 aka "M" Discussions about the Leica M8 /M 8.2 / M9 / M9-P/ M-E / M Monochrom / M10 aka "M": Leica digital M mount rangefinder cameras. Naming the new digital M the "Leica M" is VERY unfortunate as it will only confuse newbies with other Leica M cameras of the the past. Happily there is room for confusion with only the past 59 years of Leica M production ... since Leica introduced the Leica M system in 1953. All Hail for the Leica Marketing Department learning Leica M history!

Some M8 - Superfast lens shots...

A few snaps from my "DIY conversion" Canon 0.95...

Some stopped down shots...

And, why own this lens if you don't try it wide open ...

It looks like you got the focus right-on. If you documented the process, a thread on the conversion would be interesting.

Pete - yes that is Belle - just before my daughter had her portrait made with her. The flames shot is slightly off focus - he kept moving to avoid the fire! (His name tag is nice and sharp at 100%, though )

Brian - I first tested the lens on a 7s to ensure that focus was spot on and then the conversion was very straightforward, but tricky.

As I thought, if you have a properly calibrated lens, all that needs to be done is simply align and attach an LTM adapter.

I'll try to describe the steps I took later.

Is that the Coral Reef Grill (at least that is what it used to be called)? It wasn't open the last time I was at EPCOT (they were still converting The Living Seas from something cool to what it is now).
