Zorki 4 off of craigslist . What should I look for before buying
There was a post on Craigslist for a pentax k1000. I emailed him, he said it was sold, but added that he had a zorki 4 for $20. I read the FSU RF stickies about the zorki 4 and that's a huge help. Besides checking the shutter curtains is there anything I should check for before plunking down my $20?
Thanks,
Ivan

All shutter speeds should work, and the rf is properly aligned.
movement of the film advance knob should be smooth.
Take up spool should be there.

Awesome.. I've read the cock the shutter THEN adjust the shutter speed so that was definitely a concern. I hope I get this camera!

$20 is a good price. For that price, I'd pick it up, too. If it falls through, keep your eyes on our classifieds, they turn up from time to time.

That's what I thought too.. I am so broke though, that $20 would come in handy. On the other hand I have 10 rolls of 120 e6 in the freezer I could unload to finance this.

Does it come with a lens? And if so which one. The lens could be worth the twenty!

Clean, clear lens. All speeds working. Spool present. The RF isn't hard to adjust but it'd be a bonus if it's aligned. Ask if the RF spot is good too, the mirror cannot be cleaned if it's not clean...
