Optics Theory - This forum is aimed towards the TECHNICAL side of photographic OPTICS THEORY. There will be some overlap by camera/manufacturer, but this forum is for the heavy duty tech discussions. This is NOT the place to discuss a specific lens or lens line, do that in the appropriate forum. This is the forum to discuss optics or lenses in general, to learn about the tech behind the lenses and images. IF you have a question about a specific lens, post it in the forum about that type of camera, NOT HERE.

I used a CCTV lens. The adapter for Micro 4/3 was about $9 shipped. It is a 25mm/1.4 used wide open on an EP-2.

$28.97 for the lens (shipped):

This is not a particularly interesting image but it shows well the lovely swirling bokeh of the Minolta MC 58mm f1.2

I saw this in your "final images…" thread! You really should reconsider your decision - it is such a wonderful lens. Those images are addictive!

Love the background in your shot here ;-)

Here is one of the first shots with the Canon 85/1.8 LTM (a more technical shot, especially for this very thread ):

Ah darn Kristian, you remind me, why I loved that 28 Cron ASPH in the first place - such a beautiful background rendering for such a wide angle lens!

I sold mine, as it is too wide for me on the M9. I see a new sample in my future :-(

Use of the clarity slider is a little too obvious here. i know the lens isn;t that soft and the bokeh on the Lux ain't that smooth....haha, Nokton forever!

"i know the lens isn;t that soft and the bokeh on the Lux ain't that smooth"

- Haha, you're mistaken

I did not use clarity slider ... actually i dont even know what that is!

The only pp i did on this image was to use the Color EFEX pro plug preset "Low key" in LR

Here's a full sized original. Simply converted from DNG to JPG and uploaded ->

http://forum.mflenses.com/userpix/20...L1013999_1.jpg

Here's another image from the 35 lux ASPH 1st version -> [again, used only a preset as i'm intimidated by and too handicapped to deal with Photoshop or similar tools]:

http://forum.mflenses.com/userpix/20...L1014287_1.jpg

I like Leica lenses and Voigtländer lenses alike

All of them have their own charm - just depends on what you like
