Cert 6 Film Advance - Stupid Question #366

Hi All,

I know this is a silly question - but how many times should I need to activate the film advance lever to move from frame to frame?

My recently received Certo 6 seems to take 2 or 3 to get the frame numbers aligned - I quess I will find out when I develop the film this weekend if there is a problem but thought someone out there could help in the mean time

Thanks

Brendan

Two full strokes of the lever.

Did you load the film following the guide on www.certo6.com? Basically, load the film and advance till the start marks on the film line up with the start mark on the camera. Then close the back. Set the film counter to the little triangle between 8 and 9 and wind till the counter is on 1. You're now on frame one. Then two full strokes of the lever to wind the film to the next frame.

Did that - it seams to 'drift' back over a few frames and then takes an extra stroke i.e 3 rather than 2 to line up with the frame number.

I guess I will need to wait and see what the sepperation between frames looks like once it is developed.

I am very happy with it other than that - cannot wait until I get the negatives into the soup!

Looks like your Certo Six needs a CLA

I second that but remember that Mr. Certo 6 takes a few weeks to get it fixed. Great job though.
