A Monthly Photo Competition. Any Interest?

Theme announced in advance.

Upload in the first 15 days of the month.

Vote in the last half of the month.

Prize nominal. A roll of film has been suggested in a similar thread recently.

If RangefinderForum cannot display the winning photo then one of the advertisers might like to include it in their animated gif ad. So ten seconds of their advertising, fading to five seconds of this month's photo.

Are any of the advertisers up for this?

even if no prize can be offered, how about the winner gets bragging rights for the month and selects the following theme?

Well yes, that's my initial idea.

Whoever runs this will publicise the theme, and organise the vote.

I hope an advertiser will allow their ad to rotate every few seconds with the photo of the month, and thus be a sort of 'sponsor' of this feature.

Basically, you suggest a RFF Salon with as a prize the display of the winning picture on the front page ... heard that before (here for instance)... anyway good idea, obviously I support it.

I like the idea. I enjoyed viewing the Salon when it was held. I hope the idea takes off...
