Minolta Elite 5400 II Scanner

Just ordered the new Minolta 5400 II which replaced the 5400. According to the specs it should yield a 42 megapixel scan. Do any of you have experience with this scanner?

Just the old 5400. Let us know what the scan times are like with the new 5400 II. At max rez the old 5400 yields file sizes of around 30-40 mb for B&W and around 110 mb (8 bit colour) and 220 mb ( 16 bit colour).

If you do a lot of B&W the earlier version of this scanner may be preferred. I've seen more than one thread about this but below is a current one from PN:

minolta 5400 2 vs minolta 5400?
