Scanning XPan...?

Hey,

Has anyone tried to scan XPan images on a Minolta Dimage Scan Dual IV.
My idea is to modify(remove the bit between two frames) the 35mm film holder and scan two full frames and then stitch them in photoshop.

But before buying it for this purpose, It would be great to be sure that it's possible.

I look forward to your opinion on this gals and guys.

Berci

My Minolta Dimage Scan Multi Pro would do that, but I believe the Scan Dual IV cannot handle the longer neg of the XPan. I think your best bet with that film format and that scanner is to scan the image in two segments (using manual exposure control for consistency) and stitch them back together in software.

I've DSD IV. Actually, matching colour for two scan images makes me headache even i set manual exposure mode. I suggest you to buy a flat bed scanner for doing that.

I don't think it will work. I have a Dimage 5400, but for panoramic 35mm (mine is from the Mamiya 7, not the xpan), I scan on my Epson 3200 flatbed.
