flickering light meter indicators.

I was out and about shooting yesterday afternoon on my way home when I noticed the light meter indicator lights flickerd on and off for a split second. The camera is about 6 months old or so.

I can't imagine it's a battery issues. Simply because it hasn't happened again. Then I thought it was because it was about to shut off when I pressed the shutter button in time to turn it back on. But that doesn't explain the on off on off flickering.

Has anyone had similar experiences? Thanks, Ivan

I haven't seen that on mine, but then I don't ever look at the light meter LED's anyway.

Try new batteries anyway.

I don't know what if anything you were doing with the camera at the time, but it might be worth cleaing the battery surfaces and the camera contacts. As unlikely as it may be, it is worth a try.

Hope it's nothing serious.

when my batteries are low, the meter on my R2a flashes...sometimes.

Had a similiar thing happen the other day, except the meter flickered and died, i'd leave it for five minutes, itd start working again then die! I originally thought oh darn (well words to that effect anyway) my newly aquired Bessa R had a dodgy meter, casue the batteries were brand new! What I found was that one of these new SR44 batteries was dodgy. One showed 1.58v while the dodgy one showed .7v straight after the camera died, then slowly rising back up to about 1 volt. 1 new battery later and I was back in business!
