Rear curtain sync on the Bessa R possible

This is probably not possible but doesn't hurt to ask. Is there any way to make the Bessa R fire the flash to sync with the rear curtain - i.e. at the end instead of at the start of exposure?

If it matters, my flash is a Nikon SB-28.

Thanks,
-Anupam

With the SB-28 rear curtain sync is definitely not possible - you can't set it on the flash and you can't set it on the camera.

With some older Nikon flashlights (SB-26?) it was possible to set rear curtain sync on the flash - but I doubt anyway it would work with the Bessa.

That's what I was expecting. Thanks. I'll have to hold onto the N90s body for the few times I really need to do fancy flash work.

The Tailflash only works for Leaf shutters, so that won't work for the Bessa R.

You can get a Pocket Wizard Multimax transceiver, which has programmable flash delay to emulate 2nd curtain sync, but one Pocket Wizard is going to cost you more than the Bessa R or the N90s.

Interesting stuff. But not worth it for my limited needs. I'll just pull out the SLR when I need fancy flash work.

Thanks,
