finder for 15 mm lens

i can't seem to get a clear view view when looking through the finder for the 15mm lens.

is there something different about this finder that i should know?

Must be something wrong with it, I remember it gives a clear view.

BTW, you can use the full frame of the 21 finder to frame the 15mm quite
accurately.

joe, I can see quite well out of my cv 15mm finder. Maybe you have a bad one. Are glasses an issue? I concur with Roland that the 21mm finder, hugging the walls, is a pretty good approximation.

i think it must be the finder itself also.
my 21 and 28 finders are crystal clear, the 15 is like an element is out of place.

My 15mm finder is bright and clear, but it ditorts the view so much composing can be very challenging. It has pretty strong barrel distortion.
Is this the problem or are you having trouble with something else?

I have no problems with my 15 finder either - it's just as clear as the 21 and 25 finders.

One thing to be careful of if you use the 21 finder for the 15 is that you have to squash your eye pretty close up to see the borders (at least, I do - I find it very hard to see all the borders at the same time).

while the glass of the finder is clear when i look through it the image is not clear at all.
i'm taking it to breakfast this morning to have my buddies look through it and confirm it's not just my aging eyes.
have already emailed stephen.

it sounds like something is definitely up. i'm sure stephen will sort you out right away. i can also confirm the 15 is easy to see. i don't wear glasses but even if i'm wearing sunnies, i can still see the image clearly and the framelines.

good luck!

Joe

Could you see if the 21mm finder might work for you, 3M tape across film gate etc. Or don't you have the/a 21 mm finder? Sorry Joe cannot keep up {with you} and I'm not trolling (as per normal), I use a 16mm/G1, and have more candles at Xmas.
