Thumbs up Shoot all day on Summer Solstice

The "shoot all day on equinox" 24-H shoot-out was good test for many.
Lots of people jumped in and found out it isn't as easy as previously thought to stick to a plan, shoot on "command" and come up with shots they are happy with.

So, let's assume the "shoot all day on equinox" was an audition. Let's also assume you aren't put off by your performance and let's assume you want another chance.

Here is that chance!

Come and join me in the "Shoot all day on Summer Solstice" 24-h shoot-out!

Same rules as with the equinox shoot-out.

The date is the same for everyone: June 21, 2007.

----- IMPORTANT -----
Just for the record:

WHAT: a "Shoot all day" event

WHEN: Thursday, June 21, 2007, a.k.a. Summer (or Winter depending where you are) Solstice

WHERE: anywhere on this planet

WHO: anyone who is able and willing to spend some time (the more the better) on June 21, 2007, to shoot pictures for this worldwide event

WHAT CAMERA / SUBJECTS / TECHNIQUE: this is all up to you. Anything goes (well I mean, as long as it is legal, it will be alright ;-)

HOW and/or WHAT to shoot: doesn't matter, but analog shooters please keep in mind to keep a record of the exact time(s) of your shot(s).

WHAT DO I DO NOW: just post to this thread, telling us "you're in" - or something like that

WHAT DO I DO AFTER THAT: just wait for the day to come (6/21, 2007) then shoot as many pictures as you can that day, and submit your best ones (you'll be your own judge here). In the meantime, watch this thread from time to time, to learn about the details and/or to participate in the preparations phase

HOW MANY PICTURES PER SUBSCRIBER?
24 or less

WHAT SIZE / QUALITY?
Good enough for a 30x40cm / 12x16'' quality print

WHY: to be shown in galleries in as many places as possible, to be published in a photo book, to be part of a worldwide event and to benefit charity (on which we will decide later on, in a poll)

HOW DO I SEND MY PICTURES IN?
Digitally. JPEG will do. TIFF wil do. Try to keep the quality up to gallery standards, so please use as little compression as possible. Details will follow!

SO I WON'T NEED TO SEND IN PRINT(S)?
No.

IS THERE A DEADLINE?
Yes. As for now, September 1st. If this changes, it will be to a later date, not sooner.

13 participants already. And we still have ,what?, 10 weeks to go!

10 weeks only? Yes, time flies when you're having fun. Spring doesn't last forever. Summer will be there before you know it. And then... bummer. Autumn and Winter again. ):

Anyway, keep your diary updated. After the Summer Solstice shoot-out you may see an Autumn equinox and Winter Solstice shoot-out come up.

15! It's good to see people aren't detered by the equinox experience.

I'm not deterred by the equinox ... I must learn from mistakes ... this time I'll be more prepared ... but this time may be even worse if I'll have poorer results because I won't have any "lack of preparation" excuse ...
ciao

I would like to be a part of this, RML.

I enjoyed the Equinox shoot as well- even though I still haven't been able to see my results (malfunctioned C-41 machine at my camera shop).

Good! People like a challenge. Especially Ash.

BTW, your interest (obsession?!) with LF is contagious, Ash. I've been peeking over eBay for some cheap LF recently. I must wait for my tax return, of course.
