Who owns CV 75/2.5 Heliar?

Hi all... Would you believe it? Last week I spent an hour doing a custom hand sewing job on the corner of a jeans pocket. It seems, me shekels have been flowing out, fueled by GAS. No-no-no, am not complaining... I'm delighted with the Bessa T and CV 25/4 bought from CQ.

Then, I saw a picture our member pschia did of his cat Nobby with the 75/2.5 Heliar, and a voice somewhere within me began to shout... that's SHOUT, "I want THAT lens!"

So, it's $245- for the CV 75/2.5, and Stephen's got a special... just another $40- for the dedicated VF. Now, I paid $55- for the Voigtlander m39 to M Adapter that keeps the CV 25/4 warm and happy, when I'm not using it. It is a very good quality Adapter, well made and thin... so that Infinity focus is
maintained.

You do get the picture friends, yes?
Shall I get out the sewing kit again?

Stephen will be back at work tomorrow, and a payment
just went into the credit card company.

I usedto own it, Mike, it's a great lens and the 1:1 finder is nice, too.

But I usually see it quoted for US 289 (Adorama) - 295 (Stephen).

Mike, I have one and I like it a lot. I'm using it to be sure I'm happy with the FL before I drop the cash on a 75 Summicron. So far, so good.

I've got one, use it a bit. Got it in preference to the CV 90mm, which I find a bit long and slow for my uses. Extremely useful focal length, fast enough for (brighter) low-light, very sharp, decent bokeh.

-Dan, I like mine. I also picked up a Jupiter 9 for slightly longer/faster shooting, and to complement the 75 Heliar.

I have a 75, on loan to my son. I used it to test it and found it to be a great lens. The deal with the finder is what I go (too go a deal to pass up).

While I like a bit more reach, there is nothing new in that range that has a reasonable speed (IMHO). f4 is just too slow for me and a tele.

The lens is a wonderful size, lens hood isn't too big and it is much smoother than my old Nikkor 85/2 Chrome.

I think the 75 would be a great complement to your 24, next go out and get a 15mm. The kit I used on my T (and now my M6) is 15/40/105. The 105 is an old Nikkor LTM (f2.5) and is a world class lens even today. It is much heavier than the 75, but a trade I do not mind making.

Great lens! I really like it's focal length myself. Of course those with Leica 75mm versions pooh-pooh it and it is not that great wide open but a wonderful lens nonetheless.

I've got one too, which I picked up on the 'bay in excellent condition. I got it to round out a 35/75 travel kit for my Canon 7, particularly for landscapes but also for portraits and street shots. I like it a lot, although I've still got some learning to do on the 75mm perspective. I really appreciate the lens's compact size.

Buy it...you'll like it. It handles beautifully, and the lens is sharp and contrasty...just the way I like 'em.

It seems very competent. I've got some good technical quality shots out of it, just nothing creative to share.

My journey here has been pretty amazing. It's almost a year.
I started out in RFF went over to DSLRx, and then really found
'my path' so to speak, with CV Bessa.

And for sure, I'm not 'done' with SLR

I purchased the Heliar about 2 weeks ago along with the Ultron 28mm. It seems a very nice lens, thought I haven't had a chance to give it a good work out the way I would like yet.
