Digital Leica M8 / M8.2 / M9 / M-E /Mono / M10 aka "M" Discussions about the Leica M8 /M 8.2 / M9 / M9-P/ M-E / M Monochrom / M10 aka "M": Leica digital M mount rangefinder cameras. Naming the new digital M the "Leica M" is VERY unfortunate as it will only confuse newbies with other Leica M cameras of the the past. Happily there is room for confusion with only the past 59 years of Leica M production ... since Leica introduced the Leica M system in 1953. All Hail for the Leica Marketing Department learning Leica M history!

M8 available

If anyone is interested there is a Silver M8 for sale on the auction website with a Luigi half case in black. Looks like a genuine sale to me as the seller has bought a black one instead take a look at:

As this is more than $500 above the US list price, I don't see the point.

Maybe it's no point to you as the dollar is so weak against the pound, but this is below the European list price and includes the luigi case so may be of interest to someone this side of the pond. There is a world outside of the US!!

It was written with my tongue in my cheek! Original point of the post was to maybe help someone out that may be on a waiting list for an M8 and would be interested in one that is as near to new as they are going to get, at a slightly reduced price ( compared to UK list price)
