Before noticing the forum classification, I was thinking black Nikon SP!

Who knows? Gold and Silver were down today as well.

Maybe someone thought a black SP was worth $300.

It was a nice looking camera though.

I'm suspicious. Don't know why, I just am. I'm not sure if there is a registry or list available online of SP serial numbers.

It is quite beautiful, but the paint almost looks too good; maybe that's it.

I suppose the difference between black and chrome affects collectors more than users, so for a black SP, condition is everything. This one looked pretty nice condition.

I remember that in the 1970s you could have bought a used chrome Nikon SP and a few Nikkor lenses for that price.

Wintoid: Yes, it looks very nice indeed. I think the price was high, but nothing on eBay surprises me.

BTW/OT: I'm thinking of selling my birthday on eBay; that way I won't get any older.

And who are you to question my latest Gear Acquisition??

<hehe> got you guys, didn't I ?
I was watching and drooling over that SP myself, but I have mine and getting a black one won't change anything except creating a hole in my checkbook

305 is a little much, but eBay is based on perceived value anyway. - so I am not surprised. As long as it is an anomaly ...
*starts dreaming of a Black SP*
If that is an indication on where prices are heading ...
