bought a lynx 14e

Hello all!
i bought an old lynx 14e - the shooter didn't work - so i tried to repair it
i don't know if the batteries are ok, but i cleaned the battery-port.

before i buy batteries i will test the camera who it works. if the meter is ok and the aperture works well.

do you have any ideas how to handle this?

sorry for my english!

thanks a lot

If the shutter blades are stuck, you will need to clean the mechanism.

Most of the time, a simple "flood-cleaning" with Lighter fluid or 99%pure Isopropyl alchohol will get them moving again. Repeated applications might be necessary. You'll know if the blades move when it is wet, but stop after it dries out.

You will need to remove the front lens group to do this. I used needle-nose pliers to take off the retaining ring. The name plate comes off. Then use a rubber cork to remove the lens group. That leaves the blades exposed, ready to be cleaned.

If you are handy with mechanical repair, this is not hard. If not, you might want to look for a repair shop.

thanks for your answer - i did remove the whole lens - now everything works fine - everything? no: the first ring (time ring) doesn't work easy, because the filterring got a kick so its hard to turn the ring.
i dont have any batteries - so which one should i try?

thanks a lot for your help.
i enjoy surfing throu rff.

greetings
