Olympus 23 SPn questions

First of, the battery. I put a 625 in it and the meter seams to close. Is there a new replacement for the mercury one or what is the adjustment for the new battery?

Rf adjustment. The infi is slightly off. Trius noted this in another thread

"John: There is a recessed screw just above the top film rail that adjusts the horizontal alignment. I've never fiddled with it (haven't had to), so I don't have experience but I presume the procedure is the same as with other RFs."

I opened the back and noticed a brass screw in the area of the silver guides for the film. I backed it out a bit as this the only way it would go. But it didn't nake achange. Any other info would be great Thanks

Thanks Dave. I noted the manual " Recommendable battery replacement include PX625, Mallory RM635R, Everready E625, G.E. No. 625 " are these alkaline batteries?

I assume that you would put the diode inline from the battery. What diode do you use. thanks

Hmm, dunno what to say other than the obvious ... you are trying to focus on something truly at infinity, right? Like, you're at Bloor & Yonge and your focus point is the CN Tower...
