Leica SL filter factor?

Good morning one and all,

I just got a SL filter basiclly to protect my Summar uncoated lens. I took it out for the first time this weekend in broad day light.... took some shots and most came out thin... now sometime this happens to me anyway because of my metering
. Is there a filter factor with a SL or UV filter?

I also used my lens shade I just picked up. The 50mm-135mm. I found with it set on 50mm (on my 50mm lens ) it vingettes the corners, even at higher F's. So I guess I will leave it pulled back all the way.

Thanks Folks
Skinny

There is no filter factor required for UV or Skylight filters. the uncoated surfaces of the lens loses some light, ~4% per surface. I have never had to correct for my uncoated Elmar. If the error is consistent, double check the meter and shutter.
