Opinions on 50/1.5 Nokton and 35/2.5PII

I'm now about to ditch the 40/1.4 for the 50/1.5 (for speed and portraits) + a 35/2.5PII (for compactness in the street and family/group photog). Where am I going? I'm keeping the R3, but not getting a 35mm finder, I'm sure I can guess what'll end up on film at the edges. I'm just so fixed on shooting with the R3 both eyes open already... and the 50mm fraimlines are sweet for that, too... But?

You don't want to get the 50mm ƒ1.4 Summilux-M ASPH?
I have the R3A arriving soon with the 40...but think I will be like you and use the 35 II lens and get a nice 50mm.

I had both lenses. In term of sharpness, I'm sure real shooters won't have anything to complain about. Only USAF resolution chart shooters will.

Bokeh-wise, well lets just say I'm not too fond of bokeh rendered by the PII. Nokton is alright. But beauty is in the eyes of the beholder.

Sure. I'll just sell my computer for the extra $2100... Won't be wasting time here then will I, either, great! Oh, wait a minute, what will I work with? Oh, well, even more time for shooting, I'm sure my wife will understand and get another job...

Thanks. I'll probably be shooting with smaller apertures with the PII, when possible.

Interesting. I have the PI and the OOF areas are quite nice with that lens. At f2.5 the bokeh is really nice!

Isn't the PII quite a different beast in its construction?

Well, in the end I opted for the 35/2.5 C (!) to companion the 50/1.5. And the 15/4.5 I already have. Wish they were here...
