First results from Bessa-R and 35/2.5
I finally got my first results back from my new Bessa-R and the 35/2.5, and I'm really very pleased with them. The sharpness right across the frame is quite remarkable, and it shows high contrast (as many people here have said). And the colour balance with Sensia 100 is very pleasing too - it's a nice combination. I've attached a few scans (obviously you won't be able to accurately assess them in that form, but they might give some clues).
Now what I need next is some results from the 75/2.5

Yeah - it might sound like a stupid thing to say, but I'm amazed such a tiny lens can be so good

I know just what you mean it looks so like a toy people looking into it have no idea of the image you are getting, real gem

Very nice pictures indeed! Are they from Liverpool? You seem to have a beautiful autumn there!

The first two shots were taken in Delamere Forest in Cheshire (which is not far from Liverpool), and the other three in Newsham Park in Liverpool. I was lucky to get a few days of very nice light while the autumn colours were around - it has otherwise been mostly grey and wet.

Don't discount "grey and wet" when shooting fall colors (or in your case, colours). Grey days are some of my favourite days for shooting these kinds of images. If you can exclude the sky from the image, it is like shooting under a huge soft box.
