Digital Leica M8 / M8.2 / M9 / M-E /Mono / M10 aka "M" Discussions about the Leica M8 /M 8.2 / M9 / M9-P/ M-E / M Monochrom / M10 aka "M": Leica digital M mount rangefinder cameras. Naming the new digital M the "Leica M" is VERY unfortunate as it will only confuse newbies with other Leica M cameras of the the past. Happily there is room for confusion with only the past 59 years of Leica M production ... since Leica introduced the Leica M system in 1953. All Hail for the Leica Marketing Department learning Leica M history!

I picked up the equipment today... Love at first sight... "How Sweet it is"...
When put your hands on it you will be a believer...
I own an M6, so it feels very comfortable... Since I love low light shooting, so this
is a gem... using a Summilux-M 1:1.4/50... By the way, I also have the D-LUX 3, V-LUX 1, and the Digilux 3... Can’t wait for the adapter to begin using the “R” lenses on the Diglux 3...

Thanks for posting this RJ... Will definitely have to pop by & take a look! After all, I haven't been reading all these M8 threads for nothing! Might as well say I've held one... If only for a few minutes!

Rjames (Jim) and his wife Linda are the Leica Reps for the Rocky Mountain states. Good people - and good people to know!

See ya Saturday, Jim - I have to work days on Friday. Then again, maybe I'll play hooky for an hour or so...

I look forward to meeting you...
Maybe you can join us for the photo shoot at the Stanley Hotel in Estes Park, CO... One of America's Historic Haunted Hotels... Spend some time photographing the Rocky Mountain National Park... See you there... RJames

RJames,

I'm looking forward to seeing you guys when you are back in Phoenix the following week. Will you be doing a clean and check in Phoenix also, or just the exhibition of the cameras?

Best,

Ray
