photography this weekend

In a little while I'll be off to Mosport, Ont. to take in some auto racing. I've packed an M2 with 50mm cron, a 90mm elmar, my Hexar AF for 35mm, and a Gossen Digisix light meter. Cameras are loaded with APX 100 film. Shirt pocket Pentax Optio 6Mp digi cam is coming along for the less important shots, and for colour. Access to the pit area is open and easy. I'll be looking mainly for people shots as I find them most interesting.

As I was typing this up, I decided to take along the CV25 f4 lens as well, and to avoid having to change lenses, a CL body to put it on.

Any thoughts on this kit?

Oh, and with reference to Raid's question about photography with kids, I'm taking my son. My daughter has a ton of homework this weekend.

So what are you folks doing?

my eldest son's best friend & best man is getting married today so I will be shooting black&white [the color theme of the wedding ]

I will use my new R2 [used, new to me, and I am NOT the prime photographer] 28/1.9 , 50/1.5 and the 75/2.5

the wedding starts at 5pm

I have known the groom since he was in 1st grade, was one of his scout leaders, and helped worked on his eagle project [grunt labor]

Have fun with The Killer, Memphis

Damn.
Sounds like a fun kit and a fun trip.

I just went through Chicago's non-mean streets street shooting all day. It was a heck of a lot of fun. Met a nice old gent with an M3 named.. Gary.. Stolchen? I don't know how to spell his name. Anyone know of this guy in Chicago?

He was meandering around just photographing. Anyways.. Chicago is fun

Farmers Market as usual to mosey through I seem to make it only evey month or so. Plus this weekend there's a 24-hour art marathon with artists working straight through. Sunday I get to move furniture.

I'll be taking the little guy to my parents late Sunday for a couple of days. Won't be much in the way of "real" photography, I'm sure. But I'll still chase him around with the 28/3.5 & 50/2 with lots of Reala to feed the camera... (print film keeps grandparents happy ... )
