The brand new Walgreens 5 miles from my home has a whole bunch of film-their own brand, at $6.00 for 96 exposures, plus the usual Kodak/Fuji assortmeent including TriX and TMax-and... wait... 110 film.

With their arrival I have a new source for printing, too, on Fuji paper, glossy AND textured. Walmart only has textured.

Life is fine.

Just this morning I was thinking about sourcing 110 film to take some 'fun' photo's with the hanimex micro 110 camera I have lurking on my shelf. The size of a matchbox, I really ought to try it out. Congrats on your film selection available!!

Ash: You can find film slitters on eekBay from time to time. I looked at one recently because I have a Minolta 16, but decided I would probably not shoot that much at this time to justify it. Just think, K64 at 1/2 price!

Do they actually stock real green-box Fuji again?

I haven't seen that at Walgreens since (when?) early 2005 or so when they supposedly signed a deal with Kodak for exclusivity.

I know the new Walgreens house brand is Fuji, I posted some scans of the negative strip markings a while back.

I was wondering if they were gonna start stocking the actual green box Fuji-branded stuff again.

Boots in the UK still seem to be stocking 110 film. I was surprised to spot some (Kodak Gold 200) with my own eyes last Sunday in their branch in Looe!

Their Exeter branch also has an apology printed on the film counter that their Boots branded 100 asa slide film has been discontinued (I assume it was AGFA as it always came back in CS mounts) but that a new 200 asa version would be coming in later in the year! They seem to be building a better film range than Jessops (not difficult) but then again, they always called themselves, "The Photographer's Chemist"!

At least around here, the Walgreens house brand has not been that cheap. Usually Target' has the green box Fuji for less than Walgreens normal price. Walgreens does occasionally have $4.99 4-pack specials.

I scored the last 8 rolls of Agfa 400 and 2 rolls of Agfa 200 at my Walgreens. Is it any good? I've never used it.

I have finally learned the hard way and will NEVER buy anything called Kodak Gold again.

In the Houston area:

Walgreens & Wal-Mart stock BW400CN, 24 exp. only.

Wal-Mart stocks Kodak Ultra 400 and 110 film (don't recall the emusion-just saw the packages on the pegboard)

Wolf has a better selection sometimes. However, I bought the last Fuji Reala 100 & Kodak Ultra 100 ages ago. No resupply so far. They have some Kodachrome 64. I guess I should buy it because they may never get anymore.

Karl's Cameras in Tyler, Texas has refrigerated Kodak & Fuji professional film.

Tip: Shoot 36 exp. rolls. The big stores don't charge extra to process 36 exposures. Or they haven't yet. Wal-Mart develop & 1800x1200 scans are less than $5/roll.

Tip: Dwayne's only charges $5 for high resolution scans (15mb ea) on a CD at time of processing. That is a DEAL!

I actually like the 200. It's a bit more grainy than Fuji or Kodak, not as saturated, but overall quite decent. Some call it "Ektachromish", but I think it's a bit warmer that the Ektachrome I remember shooting. When they were closing it out at $1 per roll I took all I could get. Still have a few left, actually, from when they were selling it at $.72 or so last winter.

The 400 is ok for daylight, but awful for available-light night shots. Fuji 400 is far more tolerant.

Actually, I like the Gold 200. It's my second choice to Fuji. I've had good luck overall with it.

Thanks! I will use the 400 accordingly. I must be doing something wrong with the Kodak Gold 200 & 400. Kodak & Fuji's 100 films are sooooooooo much nicer. Perhaps I have been expecting the 200 to be as good.

I forgot. I saw Kodak Tmax B&W film at Wal-Mart. I think they had 100 & 400.

Thanks for sharing those. Indeed. You have had great results with Kodak Gold 200. My problem must be Operator Error.
