Tell me you didn't fold up your ladder and walk away leaving them stuck in the tree when you were done.
Very nice shots by the way.

An oldie, about 1975, recently scanned. Leica IIIg, 90mm, Plus-X, extreme crop.

Scanning is fun
Two more cats. This is the Beast (as we called her) at a few months and again at a few years. Leica IIIg or IIIf, 90mm Travenar (?), Plus-X & Tri-X. Focus is off in both, more in the second one (sharper pixels help).
When the Schact Travenar 90/2.8 was relatively new it was really sharp. A poorly machined focus mount caused it to focus too near at distances under 8 feet. At 6 feet it was way off, then it would get better at about 5 feet. It fell apart after 20+ years of use.
The Beast stayed with me for 19½ years before she wore out.

I just compared the original scans (from 8X10 double-weight prints-mid 1970's) and the jpegs and I'm really impressed with what adding contrast and sharpening will do. I'm also wondering why I sold that IIIg and Summicron for $300.00. Maybe I could do with a little sharpening myself.

The kitten shot is too cute, Victor.
Nuno, I love the mystery created by having only one eye fully illuminated. Very fitting mood for cats.

Gentleman Jim
Here's Gentleman Jim, the best cat in my neighbourhood. So well-mannered (for a cat) and always sitting pretty.

Thanks, Roland. Yeah, I got lucky with focusing that one. And actually the shot is a bit better than that posted image since the posted image is just the low rez Walgreens scan. And there's something about that shot that gives it an almost painterly quality. I gave a print of it to that cat's owner and he has it on display in his house. Probably my only "display" image ever!
As for critters climbing into bed with you, at least cats are relatively small. Try 65 pounds of labrador retriever wanting to sleep on your pillow with you! (of course, recalling what kind of dogs you have, you may know very well what I mean)
Love that shot of Shadow. Very fierce looking!
