Digital Leica M8 / M8.2 / M9 / M-E /Mono / M10 aka "M" Discussions about the Leica M8 /M 8.2 / M9 / M9-P/ M-E / M Monochrom / M10 aka "M": Leica digital M mount rangefinder cameras. Naming the new digital M the "Leica M" is VERY unfortunate as it will only confuse newbies with other Leica M cameras of the the past. Happily there is room for confusion with only the past 59 years of Leica M production ... since Leica introduced the Leica M system in 1953. All Hail for the Leica Marketing Department learning Leica M history!

It doesn't look anything like the pictures Jorge showed us! Do you think it's fake? The shadows look funny.

Well there goes my dream of owning a M8 with my M7. I am not going to carry that monster. All kidding aside, I am betting we will see a scam M8 auction on eBay soon!

Funny, when Jorge's photos were originally posted he said that they were "floating around the internet" or something like that. I tried to search to find his source but found mostly [i]this[i] M8 instead.

I have one of these at work - great optics. We even have the old 4x5 setup for it. A great Leica for macro work! You may need a bigger camera bag though.

Yeah, but does it take sharp pictures?

I just wonder if the person selling this is puzzling over why this is getting more hits than expected...

Geez, that camera was looking at me funny. I felt like I was under a microscope.

Frank, my sources tell me that it is real. They kept saying "that is wild, that is wild", which leads me to believe that Solms is not too happy that it has appeared.

I am tempted to bid, but am unsure how to stuff it into a Domke satchel.
